What the promotion is actually worth

Read the terms before the headline, and in this case read the sourcing before either. The promo code MAXBET appears on no Stake owned page in our evidence. It shows up only on third party code and bonus sites, and those sites disagree with each other, with at least one naming a different code for stake.us entirely.

The widely repeated "200 percent up to 3,000 USD" welcome bonus is in the same position: it exists in the affiliate layer and is unsourced against anything Stake publishes. No Stake owned page in our evidence states any deposit match percentage or cash cap for a welcome offer.

If you arrive expecting a 3,000 USD match, you are working from a figure the operator has not confirmed.

What Stake actually documents is narrower and, oddly, more useful. The welcome offer article describes one thing: instant access to rakeback, which otherwise becomes available only at Bronze VIP. It is triggered by entering a valid affiliate or referral code, and Stake names no specific code.

The code must be entered on the offers page within 24 hours of opening the account; after 24 hours it cannot be entered at all. The value is 3.5 percent of the house edge back on every game played.

Without a code, the rakeback article says you reach Bronze and get the same thing at 10,000 USD total wagered.

Rakeback itself is the strongest part of the offer set because it has no wagering attached.

It pays 3.5 percent of the house edge as cash, win or lose, across slots, table games and live dealer; poker pays 3.5 percent of the rake; sportsbook pays 3.5 percent of theoretical value using a default 3 percent house edge, with voided and cashed out bets excluded.

Stake's own worked example is 1 BTC wagered on a 2 percent edge game returning 0.0007 BTC.

Deposit bonuses are a different animal and the key number is not published. The deposit bonus requirement article says the multiplier applies to deposit plus bonus and "varies depending on your affiliation and the bonus type", giving only a worked example of 100 USD plus 100 USD at 30x, which is 6,000 USD to wager.

There is no standard multiplier, no game weighting table, no maximum bet while a bonus is active and no conversion cap in our evidence; the 35x and 40x figures circulating elsewhere are unverified.

Crucially, the requirement cannot be cancelled: you either complete it or spend the bonus and deposit down to zero, per the same article and the deposit bonus requirements policy. Clause 12.10 of the terms voids bonuses after 60 days.

Recurring promotions are documented in the promotions article: a 50K or 75K USD weekly raffle with one ticket per 1,000 USD wagered, a 100K USD race paying the top 5,000 every 24 hours, a Saturday 12:30 pm GMT boost posted in a VIP only Telegram group, a monthly bonus, plus Drop Bonus codes, Level Up and Birthday bonuses, forum challenges, chat rains and Wheel Wars.

VIP levels start at Bronze on 10,000 points and run to Obsidian at 1,000,000,000.

The sportsbook in detail

The sportsbook is broad but the public rulebook tells you more about how bets are voided than about how competitive the prices are. The sportsbook policy covers roughly 35 sport categories plus a separate esports title list. Racing has its own rules page, which we did not read, so racing specific rules are not covered here.

Be aware of what our evidence does not contain, because it bears directly on value. There is no market count for a top flight football fixture, no list of bet types per market and no margin or overround figure anywhere. Stake publishes no margin data, and no independent margin study for Stake was available.

The only edge figure the operator states is internal: the rakeback article uses a default 3 percent house edge to compute the theoretical value of sportsbook bets. That is a rakeback calculation input, not a published overround, and it should not be read as the margin you face on any given market.

Clause 10.5 of the terms also reserves the right to adjust the house edge without notice.

The rules that will actually cost or protect you are these. Cash out is offered on selected pre match and live singles and multis, and is not offered on Same Game Multi. Every cash out request carries a deliberate time delay, so the price you tap is not necessarily the price you get.

If any leg of a Same Game Multi is voided, the entire Same Game Multi is voided, which is harsher than the leg by leg treatment some books apply. Postponed or abandoned events settle if the event completes within 48 hours and are otherwise voided.

Bets whose payout deviates by more than 100 percent against the market average may be voided under the palpable error rule, which is a wide tolerance in the operator's favour and worth remembering if you are chasing a mispriced line.

Odds change handling is better than average. You can set Accept Any Odds, Only Higher Odds or No Odds Changes, and No Odds Changes is the default for new customers, so a new account will not silently absorb a price move.

Two gaps in the operator's own documents. No maximum payout per bet slip appears in either the sportsbook policy or the terms, so the ceiling is unstated rather than confirmed as unlimited.

And in play availability and live streaming, including any conditions attached to streaming, are not documented on any page in our evidence, so assume nothing about watching a match on site.

Finally, the interaction between betting and cashing out. Sports bets count toward the 100 percent deposit wagering gate only when the event ends and the bet settles, per the wager requirement article, so long dated futures will hold your withdrawal open. Voided and cashed out sports bets earn no rakeback.

Stake Poker sits alongside the book as a separate vertical with Texas Holdem, Omaha, Pineapple, All in or Fold and fast fold Next, and has its own card room, refund and security policies.

Casino and other verticals

The casino is the core of the business and the limits are documented far better than the content. The only game count available is an operator claim of "over 2000 games including Slots and Live Casino and Sports Betting", written by Stake in its own company description on its Trustpilot profile. There is no game count at all for stake.us.

There is no provider roster in our evidence. Stake's providers policy page returns no readable content, so the full third party lineup is unknown.

Only two providers are named anywhere on a Stake page we read, Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play Live, and they appear in a help article about reporting third party game issues rather than in a catalogue. Live dealer is present, confirmed indirectly because rakeback applies to slot games, table games and live dealer games.

Per game RTP is not published on any Stake owned page in our evidence, which is a real transparency gap for a casino led operator.

What Stake does publish is provable fairness for its in house Stake Originals, letting players verify results, per the provable fairness article. That is meaningful for Originals like Plinko and worthless for the third party slots that make up most of the library.

Limits are exhaustively tabled. On Originals in crypto, the crypto casino betting limits article gives per coin max bet and max profit pairs, for example BTC 100 and 20, ETH 1,000 and 700, USDT 25,000,000 and 2,500,000, DOGE 2,000,000 and 500,000, with a minimum bet of 0.0001 USD or fiat equivalent.

Local currency limits follow the same shape, for example CAD 2,000,000 max bet with 200,000 max profit, INR 100,000,000 and 10,000,000, MXN 20,000,000 and 2,000,000.

Third party games differ: their limits article sets minimums of roughly 0.1 to 0.2 USD, no fixed maximum, per game caps shown inside each game menu, and no stated maximum profit, which you must derive from max multiplier times max bet.

On stake.us the model is dual currency, with Gold Coins holding no monetary value and Stake Cash redeemable for prizes.

Depositing and paying in

This is a crypto cashier with a fiat annex bolted on, and the crypto side is far better documented than the fiat side. On crypto, deposit limits are effectively open: anything under 0.01 USD cannot be processed automatically and needs support, and there is no stated maximum deposit.

Withdrawal minimums and fees are published per coin in the crypto withdrawal limits article and they are flat, not percentage based.

Examples: BTC minimum 0.00002504 with a 0.00001571 fee; ETH 0.00100000 with 0.00067447; USDT and USDC both 2.50000000 with a 1.00000000 fee; DOGE 5.49925970 with 0.52151198; XRP 1.00000000 with 0.00010000; TRX 7.82408913 with 0.07336170; SHIB 78,795.08659 with a 23,941.65317 fee, which is a striking proportion and worth checking before you use it.

The article table was truncated at SOL, TRUMP and POL, so exact fees for those three are not available. BUSD is withdrawal only, no deposits.

Network choice matters because sending on the wrong rail is how people lose funds.

The acceptable networks article lists USDT on ERC20, BSC BEP20, Polygon, TRC20 and Solana; USDC on ERC20, BSC BEP20, Polygon and Solana; ETH on ERC20 and BSC BEP20; and it explicitly names unsupported routes, including Cronos over the Cronos network and various layer 2 networks that must not be used for deposits.

Two cashier features deserve a warning. MoonPay and Swapped are the named on ramp partners for buying crypto inside the cashier. And Swap Crypto converts between coins in the wallet, takes up to two hours, and is processed as a withdrawal plus a deposit.

That means the coin you swap out must already satisfy the wagering gate, and the coin you swap in arrives as a fresh deposit with its own 100 percent requirement. Swapping mid session can therefore reset your path to a withdrawal.

Fiat is thinner. Bank transfer deposits take up to 24 hours and need proof of payment showing date, reference number, recipient details and total amount, with no published amount limits. Bank transfer withdrawals take up to three business days.

Card deposits are country gated with published bands: CAD 5 to 3,000 in Canada on Visa and Mastercard; CLP 5,000 to 1,000,000 in Chile on Visa only; AED 20 to 3,000 in the UAE; EUR 5 to 1,000 across Albania, Andorra, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Montenegro and Slovenia, with Mastercard excluded in Albania; USD 5 to 1,000 in Ecuador; ISK 500 to 300,000 in Iceland; BAM 10 to 5,000 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Card withdrawals exist only for users who deposited by card, only back to the original card, and take up to three business days after processing. INR deposits take up to 24 hours.

What is missing: PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay and Google Pay appear on no Stake owned page in our evidence. There is also no consolidated fee schedule for fiat, and clause 8.9 of the terms reserves the right to charge a withdrawal fee at Stake's discretion.

What the licence is actually worth

Treat Stake as an offshore operator with an unresolved licence rather than as a licensed one. The licence number published in clause 1.1 of the stake.com terms of service, OGL/2024/1451/0918, does verify.

On the Curacao Gaming Authority OGL register dated 20 August 2026 the row reads: licence number OGL/2024/1451/0918, licensee Medium Rare N.V., type B2C, company registration 145353, issued 9 December 2025, expires 9 June 2026, status "Assessment in progress". So the number is genuine and the licensee name matches the company named in the terms.

What it does not show is a licence in force at the date checked. The expiry printed on the register passed on 9 June 2026, the status is an assessment rather than an active grant, and the register itself carries the regulator's disclaimer that its overviews do not guarantee current validity.

Whether a renewal has been issued since is not confirmable from the public register, and we do not assert either way.

For a player that means two things. First, you cannot rely on the register to tell you that the operator is authorised today. Second, even at full strength this regime is thin as player protection.

The terms name no alternative dispute resolution provider and no regulator complaints route; clause 23.1 sends complaints to [email protected], and clause 25.1 fixes Curacao law and Curacao courts as the forum. Curacao is itself listed as a prohibited jurisdiction for play under clause 14.3, so the licensing state and the playing state are separated by design.

Entity by entity: stake.com and stake.bet both sit under Medium Rare N.V. on that same licence, with payment handled through Medium Rare Limited (Cyprus, HE 410775) and MRS Tech Ltd (Cyprus, HE 477481).

stake.us is operated by Sweepsteaks Limited of Larnaka, Cyprus, and claims no gambling licence anywhere in its terms because it is a sweepstakes product: Gold Coins carry no monetary value, Stake Cash is redeemable for prizes, no purchase is necessary, and the minimum age is 21.

STAKE BRAZIL LTDA holds a genuine federal Brazilian authorisation for stake.bet.br, granted by Portaria SPA/MF number 263 of 7 February 2025 and valid from 1 January 2025. Great Britain is gone. Ontario, Colombia, Peru and Mexico are prohibited in the stake.com terms and no local licence for them was verified.

Getting paid out

Stake publishes no payout speed target for crypto at all, which is the headline finding here. The crypto withdrawals article says only that confirmation depends on blockchain confirmations and that "larger withdrawal amounts may require manual processing by our administrators, which can result in a temporary hold".

No threshold is given for what counts as larger, so you cannot plan around it. Fiat is the opposite: bank transfer withdrawals are stated at up to three business days, and card withdrawals at up to three business days to reach the bank after Stake has processed them.

Neither article commits to a weekend behaviour, and business day language means a Friday request can realistically land the following Wednesday.

Ceilings are generous. The crypto limits article states there are no restrictions on the maximum withdrawal amount and that you can withdraw as much as you hold. Minimums are per coin, and clause 8.7 of the terms declines to fix a figure, deferring to whatever the site displays.

Three specific conditions slow or block a payout, and all three are documented. First, the wagering gate: 100 percent of every deposit must be wagered before you can withdraw or tip, restated for fiat currencies in the local currency article and in clause 8.5 of the terms, with a progress bar shown on the withdrawal page.

Sports bets only count toward that gate when the event ends and the bet settles, not when it is placed, so an unresolved accumulator holds your withdrawal open. Second, coin mixing: depositing and then trying to withdraw without placing bets makes the withdrawal invalid under the coin mixing policy.

Third, discretionary verification: clause 8.12 lets Stake demand further identity documents before releasing funds, and the AML statement says it may impose due diligence requests at the point of withdrawal.

User reports match that picture on both sides. Positive Trustpilot and Casino Guru reviewers describe instant crypto and fiat withdrawals once verification is done, while recurring negative themes on the Trustpilot profile include withdrawals or payments not credited and account freezes.

Nothing in our evidence quantifies how often either outcome occurs, and Stake publishes no percentage of withdrawals cleared within any window, so treat the fast payout reputation as conditional on a clean KYC file.

Two protections worth switching on before you hold a balance: OAuth verification for fund withdrawals and two factor authentication, both documented with setup and recovery steps. On stake.us, no prize redemption is possible until identity verification is complete.

Verification in practice

Stake does not publish a verification tier table, so ignore the Level 1 to Level 4 structure quoted around the affiliate layer. No Stake owned page in our evidence documents numbered tiers, thresholds between them, or a turnaround time for review. That absence matters, because it means you cannot know in advance what will be asked or when.

What is published is the document set. The AML and anti terrorist financing statement says baseline collection at signup is a wallet address and an email address, and that name, address, country, date of birth and postal code are collected before a Stake funding address is issued.

Identity, age and sanctions screening are run by an unnamed third party provider. Enhanced due diligence is triggered by red flag indicators, and the wording is blunt about sequencing: when a red flag fires, "the user account will be suspended and Stake will pursue enhanced due diligence". Suspension first, questions second.

The enhanced set then runs to full legal name, citizenship, permanent address, an identification number such as a tax or passport number, the identification document itself, and both source of funds and source of wealth.

Document standards are strict and are the most common place a submission fails. The proof of address article accepts utility bills for electricity, gas, water, internet or TV, bank and card statements, council tax or municipality bills, stamped employer or educational letters, tenancy agreements and bank reference letters. It rejects mobile phone bills, purchase receipts and medical bills.

Documents must be issued within the last six months, must be an original photograph or PDF rather than a screenshot, must be in Latin international format, and must show the full document with name, address, issuer and issue date all legible.

Source of income evidence means three to six months of bank statements, paychecks matching the deposit period, tax returns, investment statements, or a written donor statement for gifts. A selfie holding the identity document is also documented, and country specific identity lists exist for Japan, India and Nigeria.

The asymmetry is the part to note. The same proof of address guidance states that Stake's compliance team reserves the right to request any documentation at any given time, while no article in our evidence gives Stake any deadline to complete a review. Corporate accounts are refused, and clause 4.9 of the terms allows one account per customer.

Reviewers cited by Casino Guru describe repeated ID resubmission leaving them stuck and unable to reach the verification level a promised bonus required.

Safer gambling tools in practice

The toolset is broader than most offshore operators offer and almost all of it is self serve, but two design choices work against the player.

Self exclusion is indefinite only, with a minimum of six months from the application date, no account activity possible while it runs, and reactivation after six months subject to a formal return to play review requested through support, per the same article and the self exclusion policy.

There is no short self exclusion option, so the lighter tool is break in play at 1 day, 2 days, 1 week or 1 month, which reopens the account automatically.

Product level exclusion is unusually granular. Casino exclusion blocks casino games while leaving poker and the sportsbook live, runs from 1 day through 10 years or indefinite, and cannot be reversed once set. Poker exclusion is separate again. Read the casino exclusion scope carefully: if your problem is gambling rather than slots specifically, it leaves two verticals open.

Financial limits behave correctly. Deposit limits are daily only for local currencies, while crypto deposits above the limit go into a withholding balance released as the daily limit resets. Loss and wager limits are available daily, weekly or monthly.

Across all of these, setting or decreasing a limit takes effect immediately and increasing or removing one carries a 24 hour cooling off period, which is the right way round.

What is absent: no session time limits and no reality checks are documented in the responsible gambling articles we read. Account closure is by email to [email protected], and account deletion is not possible. Help organisations and blocking software are listed, including Gamblers Anonymous, Gambling Therapy and BetBlocker.

The AML statement also says Stake will block users who are gambling addicted, which is a blunt instrument rather than a support pathway.

The independent record

The independent record is mixed, and the number most often quoted for Stake is wrong. At 22 August 2026, the stake.com Trustpilot profile showed a TrustScore of 4.0 from 17,792 reviews, with 6,088 posted in the previous twelve months and company location given as Curacao.

Any claim of 4.4 or of roughly 13,000 reviews does not match the page on that date and should be corrected. Two context flags sit on the profile itself: Stake asks customers to review, which inflates volume from satisfied users, and it replies to 99 percent of negative reviews, typically within 48 hours. A 4.0 achieved under active solicitation is weaker than a 4.0 earned passively.

Other trackers could not be pinned down. The Casino Guru safety index and complaint totals did not render when fetched, and the AskGamblers review page returned a client error, so there is no independent safety score or complaint count to report. Say that plainly rather than substitute a guess.

The recurring complaint themes, which are player allegations rather than verified findings, cluster in four places. Withdrawals or payments not credited, and account freezes, recur on Trustpilot alongside positive comments about fast payouts. Verification friction blocking a bonus or a withdrawal recurs, with one reviewer describing repeated ID resubmission leaving them stuck at the first verification stage.

Data protection non response appears, with a reviewer reporting an unanswered access request pending with a regulator for over seven weeks. And there are allegations of incorrect Stake Originals results, including a reviewer stating that on 9 December 2025 a 0.00131072 LTC Plinko bet at 16 rows landed on the x26 multiplier and paid nothing.

Chat privilege bans also come up. Note that at least one complaint about being unable to withdraw actually describes the documented 100 percent deposit wagering rule working as designed, which is a reason to read the rules before signing up rather than a reason to distrust the operator.

Regulatory and security history is the harder record.

In September 2023 the FBI attributed the theft of approximately 41 million USD from Stake.com to the Lazarus Group and APT38, cyber actors of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, publishing 33 blockchain addresses holding the proceeds; Stake's co founder said private keys were not compromised and that a service authorising hot wallet transactions was involved.

In Great Britain, Stake moved to give up its GB licence in February 2025 after a Gambling Commission investigation into a Stake branded video featuring an adult performer, stake.uk.com closed on 11 March 2025, and TGP Europe then surrendered its GB licence in May 2025 rather than pay a 3.3 million GBP penalty for third party due diligence and anti money laundering failures.

Stake nonetheless signed a three year Everton sleeve deal reported in July 2026, saying it does not take bets in the UK. On the licensing regulator's own turf, Medium Rare N.V. is absent from the Curacao enforcement register of 10 July 2026.

Customer support

Support is available around the clock but comes with no promise attached and no exit route above the operator. Clause 6.3 of the terms puts 24/7 live chat behind login, so you need an account to reach a human. Email is [email protected] for general queries and complaints, with [email protected] handled separately per the account closure article.

On the US property, the stake.us terms list [email protected] and [email protected]. Brazil is the only property with a phone line in our evidence: the Stake Brasil app listing gives +55 800 891 3320 and [email protected] with 24/7 support claimed.

No response time target or service level is published on any Stake owned page in our evidence. The nearest thing to a measurable commitment is third party and applies only to public reviews: the Trustpilot profile states Stake replied to 99 percent of negative reviews and typically replies within 48 hours. That tells you about reputation management, not about ticket handling.

Self service is genuinely strong. The help centre runs in 17 languages, with 26 articles under Payments, 35 under Casino, 10 under Sports, 31 under Bonuses and 10 under Loyalty, and it was the only reachable first party source for most of the operational detail in this review.

Escalation is where it fails. Clause 23.1 sends complaints to [email protected] and stops there. No alternative dispute resolution provider is named, no regulator complaints route is given, and disputes fall under Curacao law and Curacao courts.

Combine that with the unresolved licence status and you should assume that if support says no, there is no practical second opinion. One reviewer cited by Casino Guru describes a data access request going unanswered for more than seven weeks while pending with a data protection authority.

Apps and mobile

There is no documented native app for global stake.com, and that is the single most important fact here. No Stake owned page in our evidence describes a stake.com app for iOS or Android, sideloaded or otherwise, so the global product is a web app and you should be sceptical of any APK offered as official.

What Stake does document is a set of official mirror domains, playstake.club, playstake.info, playstake.io and playstake.casino, which share the same account, balance, bet history and VIP progress. Note the caveat in that article: passkey sign in may not work on mirrors, so use password plus two factor authentication there.

Store apps exist only for the regional properties. stake.us has two iOS apps, Stake US Casino and Slots and Stake US Poker, and no Android app at all.

The App Store listing shows seller Sweepsteaks Limited, a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 20K ratings, 49.1 MB, free with in app purchases such as 300,000 Gold Coins for 29.99 USD. It carries an 18+ age rating, which sits below the 21 minimum in the stake.us terms; that discrepancy is unexplained and the terms govern.

For Brazil, the Stake Brasil Android listing is package br.stake.casino, developer Stake Global with legal entity STAKE GAMING PTY LTD in Melbourne, 10K+ downloads, Adults only 18+ content rating, last updated 3 September 2025. The listing shows no rating or review count on the page we fetched.

On features, the web product documents a wallet with Swap Crypto, a VIP page with a rakeback tab, live chat with rains and trivia, a forum, a blog and a Stake Smart responsible gambling area. Our evidence records no comparison of desktop against mobile feature parity, so we cannot tell you what the smaller screen loses.
